30 steelbands qualify for small conventional semis Thirty steelbands have qualified for the Small Conventional Bands semifinals. Pan Trinbago made the announcement at the opening of the scoresheets at the VIP Lounge, Queen's Park Savannah, Port of Spain on December 18, said a media release. The Preliminaries began on December 7 and concluded on December 17. Fortyfour steelbands participated across Pan Trinbago's four regions, Tobago, Northern, Eastern and SouthCentral Regions. The engagement with supporters and the oneonone interaction in panyards and their respective communities added a rewarding dimension to the event, the release said. Pan Trinbago president, Beverly RamseyMoore thanked all bands for their participation, the dynamic and team spirit they brought and wished all the bands good luck. The semifinals are set to take place on January 6, at 4 pm, Victoria Square, Port of Spain.
