WiPay clears the air What's On Your Mind? I WRITE with concern regarding a 'Letter to the Editor' appearing to be written by a third party contributor and titled 'Payment pain with WiPay' which was published online dated December 21, 2023. In particular, the said publication contained an inaccurate and irresponsible statement that 'Currently, there is an unacceptable tento- 12-week waiting period for payments made via WiPay.' Please note that while WiPay developed the CourtPay application for the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago since 2017, effective as of May 2023, maintenance payments are made at NLCB Lotto Booths only and are not made through WiPay. The communications on the Judiciary's site at https:// www.ttlawcourts. org/index.php/buya- courtpay-voucher state as follows: 'CourtPay Top Up Vouchers for Court-Ordered Maintenance Payments: Customers may acquire CourtPay Top Up Vouchers for MAINTENANCE PAYMENTS ONLY at NLCB Lotto Booths nationwide or credit cards via https://giftcardmarketplace. biz/' As such, WiPay does not collect or manage maintenance payments at, for or on behalf of the Family Court and is not responsible for any 'ten-to-12-week waiting period for payments' or any other 'prolonged delays' and/or any 'indifferent' communications in relation to same.
